How to Apply?

Admission Requirements

The programme targets students from Hong Kong, overseas and Mainland China.

In addition to the general qualifications required for admission to the Graduate School, applicants from any discipline may apply.

Preference will be given to applicants with a TOEFL score of 580 (paper-based) or 92 (internet-based/Home Edition) or above; or a IELTS (Academic) score of 7 or above, or students who possess a pass grade in English in one of the following examinations: H.K. Advanced Level Examination (AS Level), H.K. Higher Level Examination, CUHK Matriculation Examination, or achieve Level 4 or above in the English subject of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination, or have a degree from a university in Hong Kong or taken a degree programme of which the medium of instruction was English. *TOEFL and IELTS are considered valid for two years from the test date.

Applicants are required to write a 500-word English statement addressing the following topic, submit two recommendation letters (one must be from an academic source), and possess very good undergraduate academic records.

Identify one or many Sustainable Development Goals that you see as areas where you would want to create an impact. Explain how this education would help you in creating change and what your role will be in the future as a Global Communications expert. The statement must conclude with personal or professional examples and experiences that can support this or an imaginative proposal of things that you would like to see change.

If applicants submit multiple applications to various programs in the School, they should list the programs according to priority. Each applicant will be given only ONE admission offer from the School if he/she is eligible.

According to the School’s policy, applicants are NOT allowed to switch to another program once they have accepted an offer.
